HEY KIDS!
   I have been hard at work these past few months, working very long annoying hours at my fulltime annoying job that has now come to an end annoyingly enough. (I didn't even get the satisfaction of quitting dammit!) But I have a wonderful new stress free job, AS A SECURITY GUARD, if you can believe that! LOL. And so as the fates will have it, I have had much more time for the better things that life has to offer. Me time, Mom time, Provincetown time, Painting time, Sewing time, Writing time and unfortunately, Fixing the walls in the kitchen time. ( I feel so butch!).
   My time spent writing has changed the way that my makeup comes out, since, I have had to spend some time examining what I actually do in the process of painting my face up. and so, once I got the basics down in writing, i tried to follow my own book to see if it was easy to follow and it was!
   In my book, ILLUSION...THE ART OF DRAG!, the application process, was more deliberate now that I had something to go by. I had become so used to just doing whatever I thought looked good and having to do it so freaking fast sometimes that I had become sloppy in the application. Authoring this book has brought me back to a stage in my drag career that I thought I had lost forever...The fun Part!
   I had turned into a drag zombie! RRRRRRRRaaaaaarrrr...makeup...fresh makeup!! LOL
   Following the steps of doing the makeup has reawakened the spirit of the art inside me. I have included many photographs and Illustrations, all of which are in full color! The basics on selecting the correct makeup, applicators, colors and tools as well as how to apply and the why's of what we are doing. When you start reading this book, you don't just get the same old "DO THIS BECAUSE I SAID SO"...You get very detailed instructions that not only tell you what to do but why you are doing it. In this way you are more able to comprehend and retain what you need to know! There are, aside from makeup instructions:

   Illusion...the Art of Drag!, is my first venture into the authoring field...and I like it! I am also shooting a DVD to be a companion to the book, but finding the right crew has been a bit taxing, so that is still in the works.
